Make your patio stand out: Our guide to feature paving

Feature paving can give your garden patio a real ‘wow’ factor, making it stand out. Here’s three of our favourite ways of using feature paving in your garden.

  1. The Midnight Star

Bring a touch of class to your patio area with a midnight star.

Available in a variety of colours to suit you. In this example, we used one to create a layered effect, making the raised patio area really stand out. The star is in sandstone, with slate and natural rings. The circle surrounding the star can depend on the space you have. This makes a great place to while away a summer evening with a glass of Pimms and a sunset view!

  1. The Rotunda

This simple and effective circular design is a popular one with our customers here at Stansted Paving.

In these examples below, it’s used as a decorative area to sit and relax on a beautiful bench, or for that more formal al-fresco dining. Like the Midnight Star, the size can depend on how much space you have. It can use full or half-circles  in many creative ways to provide a hard surface area in a small or large garden. We like to think this is a great place to enjoy a morning cup of tea while listening to the birds!

  1. Mix and match

If you’re looking to create a patio area with a difference, why not combine the two, like we’ve done in this 3rd example.

This patio uses full circles, half circles and a midnight star to really give the area that wow-factor.

Here a combination of colours are used to complement each other. The area is finished with a lovely wicker table and chairs, and set off with mood lighting. We can imagine sitting here with canape’s and prosecco long after the sun has gone down!
